However, I do concede that this tiny house with the huge heart of gold, is currently a tiny bit ugly in its starkness, but in time the plan is to soften the look and enhance the amenity of the cabin by building a spacious deck and verandah. I'm a tragic Dr Who fan and pretty chuffed to now be the proud owner of my very own Tardis which conforms to the typical characteristic of "being bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside."įor now, the Tiny House provides a durable home, with "excellent bone structure". The window configuration results in a wonderful dynamic by letting the outside environment and open spaces come in and feel like part of the cabin. It may not be palatial, but it certainly is luxurious! While I would recommend something larger for a couple or family, the Coolum 7.2 suits me, as a solo occupant, perfectly. The Tiny House lends itself brilliantly to the off-grid location it has been set up in. This a sophisticated yet simple equation that, remarkably, does not surrender itself to any compromise.Įverything functions as it should, all the fittings and appliances are of excellent quality, are durable and discreetly stationed, ensuring a convenient flow when utilised. The sales team, (namely Steve Papas) were endlessly patient and forthcoming with my 1001 questions, the logistics guru Eddy (Eduardo G) was scrupulously thorough and straight forward, and the transport company he engaged (Deger) equally amenable and competent.Įvery single aspect of the Tiny House reflects quality craftsmanship, discerning tried and tested design, and an aesthetic that I find subtly pleasing and simultaneously immensely practical. Plenty of things could have gone wrong but nothing did due to the professionalism of the entire team involved and I am so very glad I put my trust in them. Last year I purchased a Coolum 7.2 m Aussie Tiny House (that had been custom built for a client who was then unable to take delivery) and it was transported safely and intact from Queensland to Victoria sight unseen, so this involved a giant leap of faith on my part.
